Below please find local lodging establishments for which we have arranged special conference rates and/or room blocks. Please be sure to check the information below and provide the necessary group identification information when making your reservation to ensure that you receive the discounted rate. Note, also that many of these special rates expire a month prior to the conference; be sure to make your reservations early to ensure receiving our discounted rates as well as procuring a room, which fill up fast during July. If you are eligible for other discounts (U.S. government, AAA, etc), you should check to see if these give you a better deal than our conference rate. That the rates indicated below do not include local taxes (usually about 10%). All of these lodgings are within 10 miles of the conference site and most provide free shuttle service - check with your place of lodging to confirm. We will be providing parking instructions via email to conference registrants who wish to drive to the conference.

Conference attendees are eligible to apply for on campus residence hall (student dormitory) rooms on a space available basis at the rate of $55.75 USD per night ($40.75 each for double occupancy) . There is a minimum of 2 nights stay. Communal bathrooms are shared with other same-gender residents. Residence halls on the west side of campus are within easy walking distance to/from the conference venue. You can also take advantage of the free campus shuttle, The Marguerite, to get to the venue and around campus.

We've reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate, $169.00 USD per night for a room with either one King-sized bed or 2 Double beds. Our group rate expires on 23 June, 2006; until then rooms in this block are available on a first come first served basis. You can utilize the free campus shuttle, The Marguerite, to get to and from the conference venue. There are stops within 1/2 - block on either side of the hotel on the El Camino Real as well as the Palo Alto Train Station. It is a brisk but level 20 -30 minute walk from the hotel to the conference site.

We are eligible for discounted rates here as part of the Stanford Medical Center, ranging from $71.00 to $103.00 USD, per night, depending on the type of room requested (see their web site for room descriptions) . There is no deadline for when you need to reserve; however, this venue does fill up quickly. The Guest House is served by the free campus shuttle, The Marguerite, that will get you to and from the conference venue. Special trips can be arranged with advance notice; check with the front desk. It is a brisk 20 -30 minute walk from the hotel to the conference site with a noticeable decline/incline.
