CommunityDevelopersThe Protégé-OWL editor is being developed and maintained at Stanford Medical Informatics with significant contributions from our collaborators in the CO-ODE project at The University of Manchester. To learn more about the Protégé staff members, please see the About Us page on the main Protégé Web site. The original author of the Protégé-OWL editor was Holger Knublauch with contributions from Ray Fergerson, Matthew Horridge, Natasha Noy, Prashanth Ranganathan, Daniel Stoeckli, and others. This work is supported in part by a contract from the U.S. National Cancer Institute. UsersThe Protégé platform has tens of thousands of users. The Protégé-OWL editor is becoming increasingly popular and more widely used. In order to support the Protégé-OWL user community, we have created a separate mailing list (which has an archive) for questions specifically related to Protégé-OWL. Please use this mailing list to submit questions, comments, bug reports, or if you simply want to get into contact with other Protégé-OWL users. Also of interest to the user community is the Protégé-OWL FAQ.The Protégé-OWL editor's large, active user community is providing invaluable feedback to the developers. Many users have contributed components and code back to us, some of which are available as additional plug-ins. See the download page for a list of some of the more popular extensions (the list is by no means meant to be exhaustive). For a more complete list of Protégé plug-ins, see the Protégé Plug-ins & Applications Library on the Protégé Wiki. If you view the plug-ins by topic, you can click the Semantic Web topic link to see many OWL-related extensions. Related Tools and Groups
